Mysterious Lawyer John Eastmans Bid to Topple 2020 Election: Drama Unfolds!

false California attorney regulators said they are going to disbar attorney John Eastman over his involvement in former US president Donald Trump’s attempts to overturn the 2020 election. The state bar of California charged Eastman with 11 counts of ethics violations. Apparently he did some pretty bad stuff like misleading courts and making false public statements about voter fraud in the 2020 election?! Wow...

What Did He Do?

So apparently what happened was that Eastman participated in a strategy “unsupported by facts or law” to obstruct the count of presidential electors in Congress following Democrat Joe Biden’s election victory. George Cardona, who's the bar’s chief trial counsel said his office will be asking a court to revoke Eastman's law license if found guilty of violating the rules and regulations set by the state bar.

What Does His Lawyer Say?

Eastman apparently has a lawyer called Randall Miller who is currently contesting all these allegations on Thursday, claiming that it was John's responsibility as a lawyer to provide Donald Trump with a range of legal options to contest the election results - which I guess could make sense right?? So even though he may have done some wrong things here and there, he did it because he was just doing his job?? Interesting..

Eastman used to be a law professor at Chapman University in California where he drafted legal memos suggesting then vice-president Mike Pence could refuse to accept electoral votes from several swing states when Congress convened to certify the 2020 vote count - sounds kinda sketchy if you ask me lol! But Pence ended up refusing those arguments saying he didn't have any legal authority - shocked but kind makes sense right??

John also represented Trump in another long-shot lawsuit at the US supreme court seeking to invalidate votes in four states where Trump had falsely claimed evidence of widespread voter fraud. Okay now this one sounds kinda wild!! Like how could you make such claims without any proof?! But still....guess we'll find out soon enough when they get into court what happens next..

He was also seen repeating many of those claims at a rally outside White House on 6 January 2021 which eventually led a large mob of Trump supporters storming the US Capitol and delaying congressional certification of 2020 elections...scary stuff indeed!!

Apparently all these charges against him will now be weighed by a state bar court and recommend any discipline needed against him before its sent off for approval by the California Supreme Court for any disbarring or suspension needed against John Eastman....wooowww!!! All these allegations sound super serious and something we should definitely keep an eye out for as things move forward!!
