BREAKING: Adam Schiff Has a New Job – The Race for Feinstein's Senate Seat is ON

Now that the election dust has settled and the victory of Donald Trump was seen as a "miracle," it seems like former Representative Adam Schiff has decided to throw his hat into the political ring.

Schiff, who gained national notoriety as the lead prosecutor in Trump's first impeachment, announced that he will be seeking California's Senate seat currently occupied by Dianne Feinstein. In a video posted on social media, Schiff said: “I wish I could say the threat of Maga extremists is over – we’re in the fight of our lives – a fight I’m ready to lead as California’s next US senator".

At 89 years old, Senator Feinstein has been considered one of the oldest members of Congress and recently stated that she will make her decision about 2024 in "the next couple months." It appears that other politicians are already vying for her seat before she makes any official announcement.

Schiff confirmed he had spoken with Feinstein prior to his announcement so as to respect her wishes; "I want to make sure everything I did was respectful of her and that I did so with her knowledge and blessing", said Schiff during an interview with The Associated Press. It appears that many candidates are coming out from their respective corners looking for their shot at this rare opportunity - fellow Southern California Democrat Katie Porter declared candidacy shortly after Schiff while Bay Area representative Barbara Lee reportedly told colleagues and donors she plans on competing too. Political analysts even believe Silicon Valley representative Ro Khanna may also jump into this race.

The Campaign Begins

Schiff stands out among this heavy competition due to his immense fundraising capabilities - according to Federal Election Commission reports, he had an impressive $20.6 million cash-in-hand at November's end! This isn't surprising considering what kind of job he managed in representing Trump during his impeachment trial; from defending democracy against evil demagogues alone - all while maintaining unparalleled respect for Congresswoman Feinstein throughout it all! During his official campaign launch video, Mr Schiffsaid:"If our democracy isn’t delivering for Americans they'll look for alternatives - like dangerous demagogues who promise they alone can fix it."

The Controversial Strategy

The Congressman is not without controversy himself however; throughout both his time within California state senate (where he earned fame through passing fiercely tough anti-crime laws) right up until now where criminal justice advocates and immigrants rights proponents have criticized him hard! His record veers more towards centrism than either Porter or Khanna which could prove beneficial or detrimental depending on whom you ask. Nevertheless, considering what Mr Schifff has accomplished thus far politically speaking (combined with those hefty funds) it would be naive not to consider him one serious competitor when voting comes around!
