The BLATANT REINSTATEMENT of Donald Trump's Facebook and Instagram Accounts

It's been a wild week for the world of social media, as former President Donald Trump is once again set to take to the likes of Facebook and Instagram. This news has caused an uproar among liberals, who could not believe that Meta, the parent company behind both platforms, would allow such a detestable figure back on their platform. Now that his return is official, it looks like conservative America will be in for quite the treat!

Jan Schakowsky, a Democratic congresswoman from Illinois had this to say:

“Reinstating former president Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts will only fan the flames of hatred and division that led to an insurrection."

Yes folks - this is a sad turn of events indeed! It appears as though all efforts by our liberal friends have gone in vain as former President Trump reclaims his right to post on two major social media platforms.

Nick Clegg, president of global affairs at Meta had two cents worth when discussing why the ban was lifted:

“The rough and tumble of democratic debate should play out on Facebook and Instagram as much as anywhere else".

But Jan Schakowsky didn't seem too pleased with this decision:

“The reinstatement of Trump’s accounts show that there is no low Meta chief executive Mark Zuckerberg will not stoop to in order to reverse Meta’s cratering revenue and stagnant consumer growth," she said. "Even if it means destroying our democracy."

Democrats have spoken up about their displeasure regarding this move by Meta. Adam Schiff, who was formerly House intelligence committee chair stated that "Trump had shown no remorse or contrition" for what happened on January 6th. He added that it was rather unfortunate that Facebook would give him another platform which could cause more harm down the line. Eric Swalwell wasn't left out either; he pointed out how leaders within the Republican party rarely condemn dangerous words uttered by people like Donald Trump which can often result in more violence taking place afterwards.

Liberal groups also scorned Meta over their decision; Angelo Carusone (president f Media Matters For America) said: "Meta is refuelling Trump's misinformation and extremism engine ... one that will put us on a path to increased violence." Noah Bookbinder (president f Citizens For Responsibility And Ethics In Washington) went further - he noted how despite not being bound by constitutional free speech protections; it still doesn't make sense why they'd go ahead with allowing Donald back onto their platform since his words were responsible for inciting an insurrection against Joe Biden during last year's election cycle.

On the other hand however; some civil liberties groups actually supported Meta over their decision . Anthony Romero (executive director f The American Civil Liberties Union) said : “Like it or not President trump is onef country’s leading political figures nd te public has strong interest hearing his speech."
